I try to keep the running updates to a minimum because I assume no one cares. (Does anyone read this little bloggie, anyway?) BUT, today is an exception because I'm trying to reward good behavior.
Indulge me.
This morning I woke up at 5:00 a.m. for a light breakfast before meeting Judy at South HS parking lot at 6:00 a.m. Track workout. We did 15 min warm up, strides and agility things. Then: 5x1200, with 1 lap jog in between. ME: 5:02. 4:58. 4:54. 4:53. 4:49. First, I am proud of myself for doing it. Second, I am proud of myself for doing it at 6:00 a.m. Third, I am proud of my negative splits. For you non-trackies, that means I did each one faster than the previous. That's good because it means you can be strong as you're getting tired. I actually felt pretty good. Maybe I'm slowly working my way back into shape?
Off to three classes, back to back. SIGH.
