A music update!
I have been digging this Guatemalan singer named Gaby Moreno. I found her on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert. She's adorable and spunky. Her music ranges from a Brazilian bosso-nova (think: Girl from Ipanema) to acoustic rock-out (think: female/Hispanic Ben Harper&Blind Boys of Alabama) to a modern version of 50s pop/blues music (think: Edith Piaf meets Fiona Apple meets Amy Winehouse).
Here is here website (http://www.gaby-moreno.com/), which links to the free NPR Tiny Desk Concert.
Enjoy!

Ha. Can you read this meter? It says FAIL.
Grandma. Note "the stick" and the clutter.
Child's awe.
My self.
Dottie.
Real Baltimore crabs. No messing around here. I love that she happens to be wearing an American flag.
Kai! Cute monkeys. See it? That's love, right there in that little grip on his mom's shirt.

Hi, there
The Executive Summary: I'm really happy.
Oh gosh, I think about the bloggie all the time. I offer a small excuse that it's hard to post without interwebs at home. And, things here have been so busy. Turns out life without a full-time job is actually pretty full. I am gone from 7-9 every day (weekends, too!). I am busy with:
networking | happy hours | "meeting for coffee or a drink" | running! | consulting for Global Integrity | getting lost on bike rides (in a good way) | sweating (in a bad way) | Tweeting professionally @Carrie-Golden | reading a David Foster Wallace book | visiting and being visited by family | meeting new people | discussing Aristotle at a Georgetown book club | missing those I love far away | eating delicious, delicious summer fruit | slee...zzzz
Could it be that I am enjoying you, D.C.? o_O
Until soon.

move
I used to hope I didn't have to move every year. Now I just hope I don't have to move every month. Exhausting.
Best part of my day was meeting someone who happened to be pushing a desk chair down our alley just as I was pushing my desk chair down. We had a duel. Okay, actually we just sat in our respective chairs and chatted for 20 minutes. Random, fun.
Here's to a more productive rest of the week ahead...
