Try this snack on for size:
Tortilla with one half sprinkled in Gorgonzola cheese, the other half spread with fig and sesame jam. I picked that up at the Asian market -- couldn't read the Arabic, but fortunately it had nice little pictures of figs and sesame seeds. Fold in half and toast each side. The cheese and fig jam melt into a delicious creamy filling.
So delicious.
Carrie, this sounds DELICIOUS! A favorite of mine (granted a very unhealthy one), is to fry slices of potato in olive or coconut oil, sprinkle blue cheese on top, stick it in the oven until the cheese starts to melt, then sprinkle fresh, cold, chopped vine ripened tomatoes on top. Oooooh my goodness.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try that recipe sometime! I love -- love -- french fries. I bet adding a little rosemary on top of that would be delish, too . . . I'm thinking we should have a Tapas-themed cooking night when you are back!
